MAJOR EVENT
The Gargoyle Hunts (1460s-1490s CT)
During the late 14th century of the Remnant Age, the tyrannical king of Dawn City set out a decree that all Gargoyles are to be considered a threat and killed on sight (due to the fact that his wife, the queen of Dawn, was murdered by a Gargoyle). This launched a massive hunt across the continent for roughly forty years. By the end of the 1490s CT, over two thirds of the current Gargoyle population had been exterminated. Less then ten thousand of their race remained. Until the great exodus to Overna, where several thousand gargoyles moved to the outskirts of the city to escape the Crusadrem's wrath. After the death of the king of Dawn, his son Philip abolished the decree and the Gargoyle race was free to move back into the city.
